Slick-fielding shortstop Joe DeMaestri played 11 MLB seasons with four different ball clubs, and while the light-hitting infielder will never be enshrined in Cooperstown, N.Y., his PSA 10 Gem Mint 1958 Topps subject certainly merits Hall of Fame cardboard stature. One of only two specimens fortunate enough to carry the exalted PSA 10 assessment, its hallowed grade has bested nearly all of the 285+ PSA encapsulated copies. Its immaculate eye pleasing attributes include a classic batting pose that presents itself in virtual "3D" fashion with the robust red background. Fine centering only reveals an ever so slight hint of favoritism towards the right edge, with the illustration flanked by four snow-white borders. Sparkling hues, right-angled corners that could literally draw blood and impeccable surfaces complete this timeless marvel that has rightfully earned the "perfect" assessment!
