In 2010, the Chicago Cubs had a top-notch shortstop in rookie Starlin Castro, wowing fans with his acrobatic fielding and delighting management with his poise and ability at the plate. Castro hit .300 for the season with 139 hits and added 41 RBI while posting a .950 fielding percentage to finish in the top 5 for NL Rookie of the Year. An All-Star in 2011 and 2012, Castro was an intricate part of the Theo Epstein lineup. Unfortunately, by 2015, despite respectable number in the field and at the plate, Castro was traded to the New York Yankees as Addison Russell took over the starting SS position as he helped lead the Cubs to their first World Series title in 107 years. Offered is a 2013 Starlin Castro Game-Issued Signed Majestic Road Jersey. This button-down road gray jersey displays "Chicago 13" on the front and "Castro 13" on the reverse sewn in blue, red and white tackle-twill with Castro's signature penned in silver paint pen on the "1" with a 9-10 strength. The left sleeve holds the Cubs logo with "13 48 '13 S7" embroidered in the collar. This game-issued jersey shows virtually no signs of wear and remains in NM-MT condition.
