(LOT 2084)
Stan Musial's FINAL GAME/HIT #3630 Full Ticket PSA 4 VG-EX

THE MAN'S LAST GAME/HIT!!! When the St. Louis Cardinals took the field on September 29, 1963, one of the greatest eras in Major League Baseball was about for come to a close. It was most certainly a sad day for many in the Gateway City. With Gibby (Bob Gibson) on the mound, the Redbirds faced the Cincinnati Reds having already lost the series. In the bottom half of the sixth, Stan Musial knocked a single passed Reds rookie second baseman sensation Pete Rose which scored Curt Flood and gave the Cardinals the lead. He was promptly pinch run for, to which the St. Louis crowd booed manager Johnny Keane incessantly knowing that this would be Stan the Man's final game and at-bat. It was Musial's 3,630 hit and his 1,951st RBI. The Cards ultimately won the game in extra innings 3-2. Offered is a Stan Musial's FINAL GAME/Hit #3630 Full Orange Variation Ticket PSA 4 VG-EX from that game. This piece of St. Louis Cardinals history still appears in excellent condition with the slightest bit of wear left portion of the front. It's hard to believe that this ticket to bake in the sun on the bleachers was only $1.00, but this is certainly one of many from adoring fans able to see "The Man" in his final game wearing the "Birds on the Bat".
