c. 1960s Roberto Clemente 8" x 10" Ronald Mrowiec Type 1 Original Photograph - PSA-Encapsulated
For decades, Chicago-native Ron Mrowiec chronicled some of Major League Baseball's greatest moments and players as a photographer with the Cubs and White Sox as well as the NFL's Chicago Bears, not to mention monumental historical events like the 1968 Democratic National Convention. Offered is a circa-1960s photograph of Pittsburgh Pirates star right fielder taking his licks in the batting cage prior to a game against the Cubs. Clemente stands poised and focused with bat cocked as he prepares to slap another shot over the infield or knock one over the ivy in left. This original 8" x 10" Type 1 photo is marked with the "Ronald L. Mrowiec" stamp on a reverse that is clean and abrasion-free. The horizontal image of Arriba, encapsulated by PSA, on this Type 1 presents an approximate one-inch snow white border that reveals virtually no signs of handling. This is a beautiful black-and-white photograph from one of the great photographers who passed away this February. A great tribute to two of the greats that baseball has ever seen.
