1999 Pokémon Fossil 1st Edition Factory-Sealed/Unopened Box (WOTC)
Offered here is a 1999 Pokemon Fossil 1st Edition Factory-Sealed/Unopened Booster Box from Wizards of the Coast originally released as Mystery of the Fossils. The yellow-bordered Fossil set is the smallest of the Pokemon expansion issues from 1999, at 62 cards. The offered Fossil 1st Edition booster box consists of 36 booster packs, each with 11 tradable game cards of seven common cards, three uncommon and one rare card. A holographic card was inserted into one in every three packs. Not only featuring the recognizable Pokémon symbol on the top of the box, this carton also displays Lapras, Zapdos, Aerodactyl and Kabutops on the side panels.

Unopened Fossil booster boxes remain in high demand as they often sold out on the day of release. Notable characters include Dragonite (on par with Charizard for popularity), Gengar, Moltres, Magneton, Articuno and Lapras, the last two of which are extremely difficult to find in high-grade.
