1933 Goudey #229 Floyd "Arky" Vaughan PSA 8 NM-MT
ARKY!!! Hall of Fame shortstop/3rd baseman Floyd "Arky" Vaughan was not only considered one of MLB's slickest fielding infielders, but would also post a .300+ batting average in 12 of his 14 seasons, ultimately ending his career with an outstanding .318 lifetime average. Unfortunately for the Cooperstown Inductee, his life would tragically end at the young age of 40 when four years after his retirement, a severe storm capsized his fishing boat in a California lake, leading to his and a friend's death. His 1933 Goudey boasts bold color with sharp corners and a strong reverse. High series specimen offered here. Add this card to your collection.
