1933 Goudey #128 Chuck Klein PSA 9 MINT – Highest Graded PSA Example!

HIGHEST GRADED KLEIN!!! One of the Goudey Gum Company's most prestigious subjects in their 1933 set is the #128 card for hard-hitting Phillies outfielder Chuck Klein who just happened to capture the National League's Triple Crown in 1933. Indeed, the Hall of Fame right-fielder would lead the Senior Circuit with 28 homers, 120 runs batted in and a spectacular .368 batting average. For 17 years with the Phillies, Cubs and Pirates, this imposing slugger terrorized National League hurlers, with his finest campaigns realized in the "City of Brotherly Love". He ended his career with a spectacular resume that includes a .320 lifetime batting average, 300 round-trippers, a 1932 N.L. MVP award, the aforementioned 1933 Triple Crown, and leading the Senior Circuit in homers four different seasons. On July 10, 1936, Klein managed to belt four home runs in a single game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, becoming only the fourth player at the time to accomplish that amazing feat. Synonymous with Chuck Klein's remarkable achievements is this world-class PSA 9 Mint 1933 Goudey offering that stands at the top of the PSA population report as the finest of its kind!

Any PSA 9 Mint 1933 Goudey Gum card is few and far between, with that notion substantiated by PSA's illustrious "Pop" Chart listing a microscopic 0.2% of the 94,000+ encapsulated examples at the hallowed "9 Mint" assessment. There are no appropriate adjectives to effectively define the awe-inspiring condition of this Klein "blazer" that depicts a breathtaking left-handed batting image of the Cooperstown Inductee. A seemingly flawless array of tranquil violet, green and yellow background hues steal the show, as well as the near-perfect centering that is a sheer anomaly for any Goudey subject. Impeccable surfaces, super clean borders, an unimprovable perimeter and four pinpoint corners complete this museum worthy masterpiece that has stubbornly defied father-time over the past 89 years. The "best of the best", it joins only three other specimens at the summit of the PSA "Pop" Chart, truly standing tall as one of the pinnacle cards in this earth-shattering Goudey set break!
