(LOT 1747)
1969-70 #25 Lew Alcindor Signed Rookie Card (Scripted "Abdul-Jabbar" w/Many Statistical Inscriptions) – Beckett 10 Gem Mint Autograph

If you need to "look up" some of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's incredible accomplishments, look no further than this autographed 1969-'70 Topps #25 Lew Alcindor rookie card that has been boldly signed "Abdul-Jabbar" in bold blue ink while including a hoard of statistical inscriptions. Amazing to say the least, the more commonly known "Abdul-Jabbar" blue ink signature was assessed a "10 Gem Mint" by the Beckett grading/authentication company, and Jabbar also added a whopping six career achievement inscriptions including the following: "19x All STAR – 6x NBA MVP - # ONE PICK '69 - ROY '70 – HOF '95 – 6x NBA CHAMP" with those hallowed notations followed by his new "Abdul-Jabbar" surname. We would like to add that Jabbar's 38,387 points (24.6 PPG) still stands as an all-time NBA record, with his 17,440 rebounds (11.2 RPG) and 3,189 blocked shots (2.5 BPG) both ranking #3 in NBA history. Arguably speaking, other than Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, Oscar Robertson, and LeBron James, no NBA player can statistically compare to Abdul-Jabbar's uncanny achievements, with this aesthetically brilliant marvel one of his most imposing signed rookie cards in the hobby!
