In fact, according to PSA/DNA, at one point it also held four additional signatures, since removed, of teammates Bob Muesel, Tony Lazzeri and two others. Customarily, this awesome piece of baseball lore has been signed on the sweet spot "Babe Ruth" in black fountain pen. His signature, though strong, presents some signs of fading and minimal wear due to aging and storage. The red and blue laced, horsehide ball remains in wonderful condition showing light toning with limited scuffing and wear due to storage or perhaps game use, though we cannot verify the latter.
