Extremely Rare 1964 Bazooka Baseball Stamps in Complete Panels (100 in Set on 10 Strips)
Seldom seen complete set of 100 different players on ten strips, Bazooka Stamps were offered each as an insert, one strip per box of bubble gum, back in 1964. The stamps were offered for a limited time only and not throughout the entire season. Few complete sets are seen in the hobby and due to the fragile construction at the perforations, even fewer sets on sheet are ever offered. 22 Hall of Famers are included and highlighted by Mantle, Koufax, Mays, Aaron and Clemente. Most panels are excellent or better; panel #5 (no big stars) is separated between rows three and four. The key Mantle #6 panel is in Excellent to Mint and the Mantle stamp is well centered. A few wrinkles or tiny corner creases are evident on a few panels, but the set has a huge break value if stamps are broken apart from sheets or offered on individual sheets. (The Koufax #10 sheet (EX-MT) has four Hall of Famers!) A very rare offering and one of Woody Gelman's finest artistic insert attractions!
