(LOT 1355)
1962 Topps Partial Set – Completely PSA-Graded Near Mint 7 or Better (403 Different)
The 598-card 1962 Topps set still garners heavy attention due in part to the unique wood grain background reminiscent to the 1955 Bowman "television set" release, not to mention the variations and "Green Tint" subset that push the total number of cards closer to 700. Despite missing many of the star cards, this amazing collection includes 403 different cards grading PSA 7 or better with no qualifiers and features 33 "Green Tints" and all 6 scarce variations (#22, 139, 441, 458, 462 & 516). The offered lot makeup follows with: 323 – PSA 7s, 21 – PSA 7.5s and 59 – PSA 8s. The Green Tints of 28 – PSA 7s, two – PSA 7.5s and three – PSA 8s complete this lot. High-end start on a very condition sensitive set and with PSA's newly adopted strict guidelines; this collection has markedly increased value and desirability to the more discriminating collector. An interesting side note, with PSA's markedly increased grading fees, it would cost $20,000 just to grade these 400-plus cards in the future. Do you think this is going to effect the supply/availability of high-grade commons down the line? ADDITIONAL SHIPPING CHARGES OF $100 FOR THIS LOT
