(LOT 1995)
Exceptionally Rare 1996 Japanese Pokémon Pocket Monsters Base Set Factory-Sealed Booster Box

Offered is a 1996 Pokémon Japanese Base set factory-sealed Booster Box introduced by Media Factory in 1996. This exceptionally rare 60-pack Japanese box featured nearly double the number of packs than the English version that would not be released until January of 1999. The artwork is strikingly colorful anime bursting from the NM-MT to MINT box and featuring none other than Charizard and Venusaur, two of the most coveted game pieces to-date. The scarcity of this piece makes it one of the most sought-after Pokémon items in existence. In 1996, when Pokémon took the world by storm, this item was one of the first to be released in Japan and few ever left the Empire's shores. Don't regret passing on this lot as it is historic and part of the early days of the most popular card game to ever hit planet Earth!
