(LOT 278)
1933 Sport Kings #22 Gene Sarazen Golf PSA 8 NM-MT
Standing a towering 5 ft. 5-1/2 in., Gene Sarazen would perhaps appear golf bag-height compared to the tall and fit players walking the links in this day and age. Sarazen developed a version of the modern day sand wedge and used his design often while winning 38 PGA Tour events and seven Major titles. Gene Sarazen hit the "shot heard round the world" (golf's version) knocking in a double-eagle at the par 5 15th hole en route to his 1935 Master Tournament at Augusta National. Offered is a 1933 Sport Kings #22 Gene Sarazen card graded PSA 8 NM-MT. Only one example grades higher than this hall of fame card.
