c. 1930s Babe Ruth Posing with Yankees Owner Jacob Ruppert and a New York Yankees Executive 8" x 10" PSA Authenticated Type 1 Thorne Photograph PSA LOA
Offered is a circa-1930s photo of Yankees slugger Babe Ruth toward the tail end of his career posing with Yankees owner Jacob Ruppert and fellow Yankees executive on the diamond. True to form, Babe Ruth relished the attention and rarely refused a photo or an autograph seeker's request. This 8" x 10" image is lightly toned along the borders with expected edge and corner wear and an unobtrusive crease across the lower half. Aside from the crease, which was visibly restored on the reverse with restoration tape, there is a minor age spot at right of Ruppert. The reverse reveals wrinkling and the aforementioned restoration of the crease across the "THORNE PHOTO" stamp at the bottom. The original Thorne photo has endured nearly 100 years of storage, but still maintains a crystal clear image of the Sultan of Swat. PSA LOA included.
