Produced by Ted Wilde & Christy Walsh, this silent sports comedy film added additional luster to Ruth's already unparalleled fame, serving as the perfect marketing tool for First National Pictures.
This outstanding 8" x 10" PSA Type 1 offering reflects the Bambino sitting on a dugout bench with his teammates as he dons his classic "Babe Comes Home" movie flannels. Sensational contrast and clarity "steals the show", with the only notable flaws being two right corner chips as well as the lower left corner being secured by a small piece of tape on the verso. The lower border includes a studio caption that reads: "BABE COMES HOME A FIRST NATIONAL PICTURE", with two studio logos affixed to each side of the caption, the final superlative for a most significant illustration issued during Ruth's iconic 1927 campaign! - Includes a Letter of Provenance from the Christy Walsh Estate
