(LOT 341)
1932 U.S. Caramel #14 Ty Cobb PSA 5 EX

FANS LOVED TO HATE HIM!!! By 1932, Ty Cobb was only four years removed from Major League Baseball as he tormented American League pitchers for more then two decades. However, his legacy would endure for decades to come as his 4,189 hits record stood until 1985 when Cincinnati Red Pete Rose eclipsed his mark. Despite Rose's topper, the Georgia Peach still holds multiple MLB records including highest career batting average (.366) and most batting title with 11. Offered is a 1932 U.S. Caramel #14 Ty Cobb graded 5 by PSA. Light toning and wear is evident at the borders and corners though the image is clear across the standard red background. The reverse is bright and creamy with expected aging for a nearly century old card. Less than two-dozen graded higher.
