1954 Topps #250 Ted Williams SGC 8 NM-MT
LAST CARD!!! Ted William's ultimate dream of being our National Pastime's greatest hitter ever became a reality with most baseball experts labeling the "Splendid Splinter" the finest batter who ever stepped into a batter's box! With that in mind, we are proud to present a Ted Williams 1954 Topps #250 card that is synonymous with his incredible batting achievements. His representation on this astonishing SGC NM/MT 8 specimen is one of the finest of its kind; joined by only ten other examples at this hallowed tier with NONE graded higher! Ultra-popular with collectors, the 1954 Topps #250 issue included two images, a larger sized color portrait pose, and a smaller black & white batting illustration.
Fortunately for William's most sophisticated enthusiasts, both of these images are virtually flawless. A blemish free radiant yellow backdrop majestically projects "Teddy Ball Game's" 's iconic images, and the atypical near-perfect centering is seldom encountered on this typically skewed subject. A razor-sharp perimeter ends at four scintillating square corners, the borders are dazzling white and the verso is super clean. In closing, this remarkable 67-year old cardboard gem has stubbornly defied "father time", retaining virtually all of its original factory issued print qualities to reside as one of the eleven finest SGC encapsulated specimens; a bona-fide testament to Ted William's unbridled legacy as baseball's greatest batsmen ever!
