(LOT 325)
1933 Chicago Bears vs. New York Giants NFL Championship Program – The First Ever Outdoor NFL World's Championship Game!

In 1933, the National Football League split into East and West divisions for the first time, with a winner-take-all title game at the conclusion of the season. The Red Grange and Bronko Nagurski-led Eastern Division champion Bears toppled the Western champion-Giants (11-3), who fielded Hall of Famer Mel Hein and Red Badgro, 23-21 with a touchdown in the final two minutes of the game on December 17, 1933 at Wrigley Field. Offered is a rare 1933 World Championship game program from this first scheduled outdoor NFL title match. Scored. Minor expected edge wear with slight corner creasing; chips and wrinkles with a hint of interior scoring pressure visible on the front. The interior and reverse is clean and fresh with bold blue print. Visually pleasing and overall about excellent condition. Very few NFL first championship programs are known to exist and the offered copy is way above average for condition.
