1912 Olympiska Spelens #238 Jim Thorpe Stockholm-Brefkort PSA 4.5 VG-EX+
THORPE!!! A great athlete in his prime is showcased on this exceedingly scarce, 3-1/4" x 5-1/2" postcard. A photographic depiction of Jim Thorpe in a Carlisle shirt normal standing pose. Produced in Stockholm for the 1912 Olympics, the sepia colored card has incredible clarity and the back has normal postcard information: "OLYMPISKA SPELENS STOCKHOLM 1912 OFFICIELLA followed by BREFKORT", along with an official symbol. The clean, lightly handled rarity concedes very mild corner wear and a small, and is in overall PSA 4.5 VG-EX+ condition. This is the earliest dated collectible of Thorpe that's been acknowledged by PSA and is considered a Rookie issue as well as being the only Postcard ever graded by PSA. The Worlds Greatest Athlete!!!
