It's hard to fathom that a baseball bat used by Baseball Hall Of Famer "Wahoo" Sam Crawford from the labeling period 1912-1917 still exists. A pro model game used bat from over 100 years ago in this nice of condition used by one of the greatest sluggers of his era who led his league in home runs twice and in runs batted in three times. He still holds the MLB record for most career triples, with 309. Made by Spalding with a labeling period of 1912-1917, this club weighs 38.2 ounces and is 35 inches long. Per John Taube, PSA/DNA's Bat Expert, he states, "Spalding Pre-Model Sam Crawford professional model bat exhibits evidence of OUTSTANDING use with a handle crack that has been repaired with 8 small nails.

Many ball marks are visible on the right, left and back barrel. Cleat marks can be seen on the front, right and left barrel. The right and left barrel have been scored. The handle has been taped approximately 3" in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip."
