This remarkable oversized Christy Walsh Syndicate original Type I photo reads like a "who's who" for baseball's immortal Hall of Famers. Included in this extremely scarce image is the unparalleled Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Rogers Hornsby, John McGraw, Connie Mack and Joe McCarthy, with Christy Walsh himself also situated between Mack and McCarthy. While the Athletics stampeded the Cubs in five games to capture the world championship, more eventful are the incredible array of superstars Christy Walsh utilized in this typical promotional based photo.

Most significant is the appearance of BOTH Ruth and Cobb in the same image, with these two iconic players seldom surfacing on any original Type I photo. The spectacular array of players exhibits the finest possible clarity and contrast with a large caption along the upper edge reading "CHICAGO vs. PHILADELPHIA – WORLD SERIES 1929". The only glaring blemish is a modest area of missing paper stock near the upper left edge that does not impede the magnificent eye appeal of this oversized rarity.
