1909-13 Sporting News Supplements M101-2 #36 Cobb/Wagner March 17, 1910 BGS 3.5 VG+
Among the finest large-format baseball collectibles published in the early part of the 20th Century was the 100-piece series of sepia toned supplements issued by Sporting News. Offered is an M101-2 Sporting News Supplement featuring HoFer's Honus Wagner and Ty Cobb. The fragile paper supplement is from March 17, 1909 and is graded by BVG in a 3.5 VG+ holder. Both of these players were immensely popular making this Supplemental Collectible a prime candidate for handling and wall display. To find one this strong is not easy as there are no tears or visible issues. The strict technical grade of VG+ does not begin to do this piece justice. Well over 100 years old, this one is for you.
