TOUGH HOF!!! A magnificent leader and agent of change, Ward was also a top-flight pitcher. He won 47 games in 1879 and another 40 the following season. When his arm gave out, he switched to shortstop and became one of the best infielders in the game. When it came to baseball, there was little Ward could not due. Beautiful card from 1887 of John Ward.
