1915 Cracker Jack #161 Ed Rousch (Roush) – PSA Mint 9 Highest Graded Example!

NONE BETTER!!! Loaded with many of our National Pastime's Cooperstown inductees, many enthusiasts consider the Cracker Jack issues to be amongst the most popular pre-WWI cards manufactured. Issued in 1914 and 1915, their colorful lithographic images and vibrant red background hues provide the ultimate picturesque quality sought after by elite collectors. One of the Hall of Famer subjects, Cincinnati's star centerfielder Ed Roush, is offered here in an absolutely spectacular PSA "Mint 9" holder, with the pinnacle assessment only joined by a mere 3 other examples and standing tall as the finest of its kind! Centerfielder Ed Roush batted over .300 an incredible 11 years and won batting titles in 1917 and 1919.

While Roush is generally considered one of the more underrated Cooperstown inductees, fortunately this breathtaking "Mint 9" representation of him is certainly not underrated within the collecting community. The two major highlights of this time-defying card are its miraculous "Mint 9" grade and its near-impossible "dead-on" centering. Simply stated, finding 1915 Cracker Jack specimens with well-positioned images is an excruciating task. The Roush lithographic portrait pose is virtually immaculate, with its sparkling facial hues well projected via the flawless-like and extremely rich fire engine red background. Dazzling white borders, impeccable surfaces and jet-black typography on the verso complete this magnificent Cracker Jack masterpiece that supreme on the illustrious PSA "Pop" Charts!
