(LOT 52)
1915 Cracker Jack #14 Sam Crawford (PSA NM-MT 8)

No one will argue that the Cracker Jack cards issued with the caramel corn candy treats in 1914 and 1915 are among the most coveted pre-WWI vintage cards. Loaded with many of our National Pastime's Cooperstown inductees, one of its most prominent subjects is the Detroit Tigers Hall of Fame outfielder Sam "Wahoo" Crawford, with this awe-inspiring PSA NM/MT 8 offering only bested by 3 PSA specimens! Crawford is still the owner of baseball's most lifetime triples with an incredible 312 tally. Playing in the great Ty Cobb's shadow, he accumulated a .307 lifetime average, won 3 RBI titles, and just may be one of the most underrated outfielders in baseball history.

Regarding this breathtaking marvel, a classic Crawford throwing image is affixed to a striking red background, with the timeless illustration depicting only a modest "tilt" towards the upper right corner between four ultra-bright borders. The edging and corners have maintained their original precision cut sharpness, and the reverse side jet-black print reveals vivid registration. Any advanced enthusiast should not underestimate a pristine looking card of a high-end Hall of Famer that has managed to stubbornly defy "father time", with this Crawford memento maintaining a majority of its original pack-fresh qualities!
