1903 E107 Breisch Harry Gleason "Type 1" (PSA EX 5/MK) – The SOLE PSA Graded Example and the Highest Graded Example, Qualifiers Notwithstanding, on the COMBINED SGC & PSA "Pop" Charts!
The by-gone Boston Americans utility player Harry Gleason played only five MLB seasons, the first three of which were with the Boston club from 1901 – 1903. His only claim to fame is the 1.000 batting average he realized in 1901, having hit safely in his first MLB plate appearance and only at-bat that season! Fortunately for Harry Gleason, his legacy will continue on via this sensational PSA EX 5/MK Breisch Williams offering that stands as the SOLE and HIGHEST GRADED example on the combined PSA and SGC "Pop" charts, qualifiers notwithstanding!
Just as impressive is that it resides as the only PSA encapsulated copy. The extremely well-centered Carl Horner portrait pose portrays outstanding contrast and registration, with no glaring surface blemishes evident. Preventing a higher assessment is the even corner wear that fortunately emanate a super eye pleasing uniformity. The "MK" qualifier is due to a light blue vertical notation situated on the verso's upper left quadrant, with the significant "One of a hundred and fifty prominent Baseball players" verbiage completely intact. Clearly, this ultra-rare E107 marvel dons one of the most imposing central images we have ever seen on any Breisch Williams subject.
