(LOT 54)
1932 U.S. Caramel #26 Henry (Lou) Gehrig SGC 88 NM/MT 8

SWEET LOU!!! What a great looking card! When I see this image of Gehrig, the look on his face, together with his hat hiked up so high, I think that this is how someone must have seen Lou when they gave him the nickname "Buster." Also, we'd like to point out that this is the first color card ever made of Lou Gehrig! It's also by far and away, his toughest mainstream issue. Just 38 of Lou's Caramel cards have been submitted to SGC! Whereas Lou's 1933 Delong card #7 has seen 90 cards submitted. And the population of the four cards representing Gehrig in the 1933 & 34 Goudey sets all range from 232-495 cards each submitted to SGC.

With only a handful of examples reaching the most desirable grade of NM/MT 8 or higher, you can see that it's going to take a determined effort to win this highly sought after investment grade piece. I hope you have it in you to bring this tremendous Gehrig card home to your collection, as I promise you, you'll always look back with regret if you don't. POP 2 card with nothing grading higher.
