(LOT 41)
1915 Cracker Jack #2 Frank Baker (SGC 96 MINT 9) - "1 of 3"; Highest Graded Example on Both the SGC & PSA Pop Charts!

Hall of Famer Frank Baker achieved both immortality and his iconic "Home Run" nickname when he belted home runs on successive days in the 1911 World Series against future Cooperstown inductees Rube Marquard and Christy Mathewson. Synonymous with his revered "on the field" achievements is this breathtaking 1915 Cracker Jack representation of the popular Cooperstown inductee residing in an improbable SGC "Mint 9" holder. Currently, only 2 other SGC examples exist at this pinnacle plateau, with this world-class offering sufficing as the highest graded example on both the SGC and PSA pop charts! The sparkling and virtually "dead-on" 50/50 centered Baker portrait image is set against a seemingly flawless fire engine red background, and is encompassed by dazzling white borders and ultra-sharp right-angled corners. The pristine-like surfaces and vivid print registration are the final superlatives for this remarkable Cracker Jack heirloom that shares the spotlight with a handful of SGC and PSA examples as the "best of the rest"!
