This early 1920's Underwood & Underwood photo portrays a somewhat slim looking Babe Ruth giving a check to Frank L. Hilton (Vice-President of the Bank of Manhattan) with Christy Walsh looking on. The Babe opened a Trust Account that day with the $50,000, which eventually increased to $200,000 based on various enterprises by Ruth including Baseball games, Vaudeville, Motion Pictures and miscellaneous Commercial Contracts. The Bambino is donning his period style formal attire with the image depicting the finest possible clarity and contrast. Measuring 8 x 10, it shows no evidence of any obtrusive flaws, with the only central image surface issue worthy of mention being the typical "DO NOT REMOVE FILE COPY" embossment that is situated across Ruth's upper trunk and lower face. - Full PSA Type I LOA
