(Lot 31) 1915 Cracker Jack #2 Frank "Home Run" Baker PSA 8 NM-MT
A Hall of Fame Third Baseman who played for the Philadelphia Athletics and then the New York Yankees. He was a member of Connie Mack's famous $100,000 Infield. This scarce 1915 Cracker Jack card is beautiful a portrait of Baker with subtle flesh tones and facial details. Baker was considered the Home Run King until Ruth came along. He is also credited with discovering Jimmy Foxx and getting him in the majors. This example has a vibrant red background, sharp corners and very nice centering; it looks like it just came out of a Cracker Jack box almost a 90 years ago!
