While many Leaf cards suffer from extreme color density, over-saturation of inks and bleed through, this Scott delivers where other cards simply fail. The one and only 8.5, the piercing blue background behind the Giant star conveys a deep moody backdrop without causing bleeding or other defects to the card. Of particular interest to collectors of the 48 set is the error found on all Scott cards. Art Directors at Leaf neglected to fill in the area between Scotts legs, leaving it a blank white rather than the piercing blue so dominant behind the Giant halfback on the remainder of the card. At a one-of-one at highest grade, the importance of this card cannot be stated enough.
