Ban Johnson (d.31): baseball content TLS on his official letterhead to Yankees' owner "Capt. T.L. Huston" dated July 30th, 1915 regarding the Highlander's (the Yankees name at that time) purchase of player Eugene Layden. Johnson also refers to the "Commission headquarters", which was baseball's highest office and was later replaced by the commissioner of baseball—a result of the 1919 White Sox "Black Sox" scandal. A nice, early letter from this baseball titan and Hall of Famer! PSA Pre-Certified
