c. 1930 Keystone View Co. Stereoview Babe Ruth SGC 4 VG-EX
RUTH IN STEREO!!! Sold "For the Development of Comfortable Vision and a High Degree of Depth Perception", the circa-1930 Keystone Views Company's Stereoview Babe Ruth card offered here in an SGC 4 tries to create a first three-dimensional image of the Bambino as well as a leaping construction worker. The images are slightly, and almost invisibly, different of the respective subjects with changing shadows on the Babe while more of the worker's helmet is evident. Created by the Keystone Stereographic Service this "The Human Body is Strengthened by Proper Exercise – The Eye are no Exception" production is one of dozens of similar creations produced for Hollywood and eyesight. This is one of the rarer and more obscure artifacts of the mighty Babe Ruth, and one that we have never offered at auction. Measuring 3-1/2" x 7", this extraordinary Stereoview production has been holder 4 VG-EX by SGC and this is the one and only graded copy according to SGC.
