1952 Topps #312 Jackie Robinson PSA 4 VG-EX
JACKIE HIGH NUMBER!!! Far beyond being the "color barrier" breaker in 1947, Jackie Robinson was an incredible player and a giant of a man, who was asked way too much for one man to endure in order to elevate his race's status among ballplayers and the baseball world… to start with. The Robinson Branch Rickey experiment worked, but, if not for Jackie's character and restraint that he showed to the world at his own detriment, baseball could still be a "white man's game" today. Jackie Robinson's strength made him one of the most significant figures in the history of baseball, but his abilities assisted his Hall of Fame stature. The 1947 National League Rookie of the Year and 1949 NL MVP led the Brooklyn Dodgers to six NL flags and the 1955 World Series championship. Offered here is a 1952 Topps #312 Jackie Robinson housed in a 4 VG-EX holder from PSA. Though presenting OC with moderate favoritism to the upper right corner, the borders remain very white with only soft even touches on the corners, minimal handling soiling and smooth edging. The imagery stands out against a deep red background and little detracts from the central image. The back is still clean and pack-fresh. This midgrade high-number Jackie Robinson can be yours to help upgrade your Robinson or 1952 Topps collection!
