1955 Stahl-Meyer Mickey Mantle PSA 1 PR
REGIONAL RARITY!!! For a three-year run, Stahl-Meyer Franks of New York produced a nine-card (1953) and two twelve-card (1954-'55) sets featuring members of the three New York based Major League Baseball franchises – the Yankees, Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers. Each set hosted an equal number of players, three or four respective of the total. Because each issue was packaged with sausages or franks, these issues were highly susceptible to staining and few issues can be found in high-grade. Offered here is a rare 1955 Stahl-Meyer Mickey Mantle, the cornerstone of all three sets, in a PSA 1 holder. Considering that only 21 non-qualified examples have ever been holdered by PSA, this PSA 1 Mantle will nevertheless serve to upgrade even the best of Mick collections.
