Johnny Bench Autographed 1968 Rookie-Year Rawlings Pro-Game HOH-X Model Catcher's Mitt (NOT GAME-USED) – TriStar Authentication for Autograph & Inscription

Johnny Bench is widely regarded as the greatest catcher in baseball history, thanks to his cannon-like arm, clutch hitting, and outstanding fielding, which earned him two MVP awards and 10 Gold Gloves. Bench began his 1968 rookie season using a pro-model HOH-X catcher's mitt, which was featured on his 1969 Topps baseball card. The glove, with its distinctive rolled lace web top and sling shot web, is known for contributing to Bench breaking two fingers. He later switched to a flex-hinge mitt, allowing him to develop his iconic one-handed catching style.

This rare 1968 HOH-X Johnny Bench game model glove, signed by Bench with "My Rookie Game Model 1968," is in excellent condition, featuring bold stampings and intact lacing. Only a few Bench game model gloves have survived, and this one is particularly special as the original HOH-X type. The glove comes with a TriStar  certification sticker and a 8" x 10" photo from the 1969 card image showing the glove. Though not game-used, this glove is one of the most significant Johnny Bench rookie-era artifacts, offering a tangible link to one of the greatest catchers in baseball history.
