Red Holzman and BK HOFer Lester Harrison Double-Signed Rochester Royals Player Contract for September of 1947 PSA/DNA LOA
Offered here is Red Holzman's 1948-49 Basketball Association of America player contract signed by Basketball Hall of Famers Red Holzman and Lester "Les" Harrison. Named as one of the top 10 coaches in NBA history, Holzman played for the Royals from 1945-1953 and then went on to coach from 1953-1982. Les Harrison, inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1980, was an owner/coach for the Royals. Harrison's Royals played one season (1948-49) in the BAA before joining the NBA. This contract represents that last season when the Royals were runners-up and Holzman was voted All NBL First Team.
