1959 Bell Brand Football Los Angeles Rams Near-Complete Set (38/40)
This near-complete set of 1959 Bell Brand Potato Chips football cards consists of 38 of the 40 cards in the set. Missing only two cards for completion (11 Marconi and 14 Sherman). This very scarce and distinctive football set featuring Rams players was issued regionally only in the Los Angeles area. One card was packaged in a thin cellophane wrapper with each bag of Bell Brand Potato Chips. As a result of the product with which they were packaged, heavy grease stains and creases are common with this issue. Overall, the condition of the set is 21% EX or better, 47% VG to VG-EX (mostly VG), and 32% FR to GD (mostly GD). Includes: 10 Matson (VG), 16 Richter (VG), 34 Lundy (100/0 T/B, otherwise NM), and 38 Gillman (FR due to pinhole). This is a rarely offered near-complete set of this classic regional football issue.
