1960 Topps #73 Bob Gibson PSA 9 MINT

BEST OF THE BEST GIBBY!!!... This miraculous PSA 9 MINT 1960 Topps #73 Bob Gibson offering just happens to be the finest of its kind, with not a single PSA 10 listed among the nearly 3,800 PSA recorded examples! Issued during Gibby's second MLB campaign, who would have thought this intimidating right-handed twirler would be embarking on a spectacular HOF career that would ultimately include his miraculous 1968 campaign when Gibson claimed both the National League Cy Young and MVP Awards. Indeed, the flame-throwing right-hander with a filthy slider compiled one of baseball's greatest seasons ever in 1968, winning 22 games, completing an astonishing 28 of his starts, striking out a league-leading 268 batters, and posting a miraculous 1.12 ERA in 304 innings of work.

Incredibly, that figure still stands as the third lowest figure in modern MLB history, trailing only Dutch Leonard's 0.96 (1914) and Mordecai Brown's 1.04 (1906) ERAs that were both achieved in the Deadball Era! Pack-fresh to say the least, the highlight is the virtually impossible to find near-perfect centering between four dazzling white borders, with the pristine surfaces and blisteringly sharp corners additional superlatives substantiating the best of the best assessment!
