Retired from the Chicago Bulls for three years, MJ became part owner of the Wizards and made a comeback for the team to boost ticket sales, play a few more seasons and perhaps turn Washington into a contender in the East. However, the plan was short-lived as the Wizards finished fifth in the Atlantic Division in both seasons Michael played and he retired from playing for good in 2003.
