Pair of Jimmy Carter Signed Cancelled Checks PSA/DNA Authentic
Our 39th President, Jimmy Carter, signed the first check to Carter's Insurance Agency for $60.62 to "Ma's Auto Ins." on 12/7/55. The second check has been written to President Carter for $639.30 on 10/7/60 and endorsed on the back. Both checks have been cancelled by the Plains Mercantile Co. with "Ma's Auto Ins." check written from the Carter's (Peanut) Warehouse. In 1976, Carter challenged incumbent Gerald Ford for U.S. President and won by the narrowest of margins, only two percentage points in the popular vote.
