(LOT 1794)
1934 American League All-Star Game Signed OAL Baseball with Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Greenberg & Others PSA/DNA LOA

This was the second All-Star game held on July 10 at the New York Polo Grounds. Once again, the batting lineup featured some of the best hitters in baseball like Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Heinie Manush, Hank Greenberg and more. The first All-Star Game highlighted bats while the second All-Star Game showed how important defense was when pitcher Carl Hubbell started off allowing two hits in the first inning then struck out Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Jimmie Foxx in succession holding the AL scoreless. Hubbell continued to dominate adding Al Simmons and Joe Cronin to his consecutive strikeout list. Considered one of the greatest feats a pitcher has ever achieved, King Carl struck out Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Simmons and Cronin in succession. With the National League picking up four runs in the first three innings, Hubbell was then replaced by pitcher Lon Warneke. The National League went on to win the game 9-7. American League HOFers and stars who've signed this baseball include Babe Ruth on the sweet spot, Gehrig, Foxx, Hank Greenberg, Heinie Manush, Lefty Grove, Lefty Gomez, Mickey Cochrane, and Schoolboy Rowe. Unfortunately, not by any malicious acts, three signatures have been deemed clubhouse which are Mel Harder, Hal Trosky and Bill Dickey. An incredible piece of history signed on this Official American League baseball.
