(LOT 1496)
1969 Topps #4 Darrall Imhoff Rookie PSA 9 MINT

WILT SCORED (A LOT)!!! On March 2, 1962, 23-year-old New York Knick Darrall Imhoff was tasked with guarding Philadelphia Warriors Wilt Chamberlain when Wilt tallied 100 points at Hershey Sports Arena. He was unsuccessful. Imhoff played 20 minutes and scored seven points. Chamberlain had more. In an odd twist, Imhoff and Chamberlain nearly played side by side but rather crossed paths as the Los Angeles Lakers traded Imhoff to the Philadelphia 76ers for Wilt Chamberlain in 1968. Imhoff retired with one All-Star nod, 5,759 points, 6,099 total rebounds and one triple double. Offered here is a 1969 Topps #4 Darrall Imhoff Rookie graded 9 MINT by PSA. This one offers bright colors and borders, a sharp perimeter and blemish-free surfaces. Not a single issue has ever graded higher than this gem.
