1923 W515-1 Partial Set in Uncut Strips Including #47 Babe Ruth
UNCUT STRIPS!!! While they weren't common, you could find these uncut strips occasionally 30–40 years ago. The advent of grading has led to many collectors and dealers cutting these strips into individual cards, making this a somewhat rare offering in today's market. Regarding the #47 Babe Ruth uncut strip, a few slight imperfections on the top edge above #48 Shocker and #49 Alexander and a tiny crease that can barely be seen on the back of Shocker are the likely cause for downgrading, as none of those defects are evident on the #47 Babe Ruth portion of the panel. Includes strips that have, other than the Ruth, #28 Tris Speaker, #24 Casey Stengel, #45 John McGraw, #55 Rogers Hornsby, #56 Zack Wheat, #15 Frank Baker. All are 5-card strips, except for one which has Frank Baker (8-card strip). The strips included are: 11-15, 16-20, 21-25, 26-30, 36-40, 41-45, 51-55.
