(LOT 1095)
1909-11 T206 Sam Crawford Throwing Sweet Caporal 350/30 PSA 7 NM

TRIPLES KING!!! Wahoo Sam and the Georgia Peach helped lead the Detroit Tigers to three consecutive American League pennants (1907-09) and were one of the most formidable one-two punches of the early 1900s. Sam Crawford was one of the great sluggers of the era, as he led the league in home runs twice and RBIs three times, but it was his speed that made him the most significant threat. He paced the junior league in triples an astounding six times and continues to hold the record for most career trips with 309. He retired 107 years ago and died 55 years ago, but still holds the triples title. Extraordinary! Offered here is a 1909-11 T206 Sam Crawford Throwing Sweet Caporal 350/30 issue in a 7 NM holder from PSA. This gorgeous, well-centered issue displays frosty white borders, sharp edging and corners, and clean surfaces. The color on this card stands out as Crawford delivers once again. POP 3 with only a pair graded higher.
