Hall of Famer Johnny Evers achieved his eternal legendary status by serving as the second link in the immortal Chicago Cubs double play combination "Tinker to Evers to Chance", ably assisting the Cubbies in claiming two world championships in 1907 and 1908. Evers leadership qualities also extended to the 1914 Miracle Braves as he assisted his new Boston Braves squad in upsetting Connie Mack's mighty Athletics. Nicknamed "the Crab" because of his testy temperament, Evers classic portrait pose emanates brilliant facial hues and clarity, flanked by a robust green background that is among the finest we have ever encountered.
