1911-14 D304 Brunners Nap Lajoie PSA 4 VG-EX - POP 2; Only 2 PSA Brunners Ad Backs Graded Higher!
NAP RARITY!!! The legendary Cleveland Naps HOF second baseman Napoleon Lajoie is presented here in a splendid PSA 4 VG-EX 1911-14 Brunners Bread holder, with this POP 2 rarity bested by only two PSA Brunners ad backs! The immortal Lajoie will forever be considered one of baseball's greatest second sackers via his 3,243 hits and .338 lifetime batting average. Furthermore, he is still the owner of baseball's highest single-season modern-day average, with his miraculous .426 mark in 1901 paving the way for his Triple Crown campaign. The nearly dead-centered image reveals Lajoie jogging across the field, boldly projected by an imposing baby blue and lime green background. Accounting for the assessment is a faint vertical wrinkle in the upper right quadrant (directly to the right of Lajoie's left shoulder/head) and standard corner wear. A bold green Brunners ad back is the final superlative for this POP 2 scarcity that has only been bested by two PSA specimens!
