1911 T3 Turkey Red Cabinets #39 Rube Waddell Checklist Back PSA 4 VG-EX

SUPERB WADDELL T3!!! This splendid PSA 4 VG-EX 1911 T3 Rube Waddell truly presents itself as a 5 EX example, only downgraded due to a few diminutive surface abrasions near the verso's lower edge, barely visible to the naked eye. The brilliant Waddell pitching pose is complimented by vibrant hues, impeccable clarity, and relatively clean surfaces. It's said that the great Rube Waddell would leave the ballpark to chase fire engines at the sound of their whistles and perform cartwheels on the playing field. His 11-year career included nearly 200 wins, leading the AL in strikeouts for six consecutive seasons (including 349 in 1904 that still stands as a southpaw AL record), and compiling a sensational 2.16 lifetime ERA. Athletics manager Connie Mack reluctantly traded him to the Browns before the 1908 season.
