1962 Topps #300 Willie Mays PSA 8 NM-MT
BROWN-BORDERED MAYS!!! In 1962, San Francisco Giants slugger Willie Mays led the league in home runs for the second time with 49 round-trippers and won his sixth Gold Glove and two All-Star nods. He was by far the best center fielder in the National League. Mays finished second in MVP voting behind LA's Maury Wills, who stole a league-leading 104 bases. Mays took his Giants to the NL pennant, only to fall short, losing to the New York Yankees in the 1962 World Series. Offered is a beautiful 1962 Topps #300 Willie Mays graded 8 NM-MT by PSA. This highly desirable card reflects all aspects of PSA's grading scale for an 8 NM-MT example and shows little signs of wear, and most notably, no chipping around the delicate wood-grained borders that make this issue so desirable. Well-centered with sharp edges and corners and a virtually flawless face and back make this one for the finer collections. This is a fantastic high-grade example of the Say Hey Kid from 1962!
