1952 Bowman #101 Mickey Mantle PSA 7 NM
NEAR-MINT MICK!!! Synonymous with this PSA 7 NM 1952 Bowman Mantle's pack-fresh aesthetics is the unbridled legacy of Mickey Charles Mantle. The Commerce Comet captured the hearts of millions of Americans via his colossal tape measure home runs, and it's inconceivable to think that no baseball player before or after hit a baseball further than The Mick, who walloped at least ten documented 500+ foot homers. It's no coincidence that the pricing points for his early 1950s baseball card issues continue to surge, triggered by Mantle's 1951 Bowman Rookie and 1952 Topps and Bowman second-year subjects. The sparkling lithographic image emanates robust hues, and like most examples, the classic illustration is somewhat skewed (favoring the right edge), with the gleaming front side and somewhat square corners consistent with the grade. Most significant is the absence of any front side print lines and flipside gum stains, two major flaws typically plaguing this issue.
